The CedarCreek Values Survey

The CedarCreek Values Survey (CVS) is the foundation of the consulting and research work performed by CedarCreek Values Research Center .

  • The CedarCreek Value Survey provides a method of quantifying operative individual values.  It also provides a way of measure potential "stress" between value sets of individuals and their organization.  Such measurement has proved enlightening in trying to understand organizational stresses.

The Survey has been utilized heavily within healthcare and within information technology fields, but additional work in education, banking, and social organizations has shown the survey to be consistently helpful and effective, regardless of the discipline.

  • Statistical validation studies have shown the CedarCreek Value Survey to be valid in all the national cultures tested and it is also gender validated.

The CVS is a simple multiple-choice survey consisting of 92 questions broken into two sections.  The first section measures Goal Values while the second section measures Support Values.

Goal Values are those values we actively try to achieve.  Support Values are those values that help us to achieve our goals.  Neither is more important.  Each value has a role and the relationship between these values is critical.  In addition, no person has all 92 values.  Most demonstrate about half that many.  In our survey work, we primarily focus on those values that are the most strongly held.
