Information Systems (Best Practices in IT), edited by Phillip L Davidson, Executive Director of CedarCreek VRC, represents the state of the art of healthcare information systems. There are nine sections containing some 38 chapters
covering a wide range of topics from system security and disaster recovery, to electronic patient records,
biometrics, the role of the CMIO, and imaging technologies, just to mention a few. The text is available from Amazon.Com.
CedarCreek VRC is primarily involved in studying how humans work together from the perspective of human and organizational systems. This not only focuses on how humans work with each other with the organizational setting, but how humans work with information systems, a topic of great interest at the VRC.
