Understanding Human Values.gif (6716 bytes)

This is an incredibly important text in the field of values' studies edited by Milton Rokeach.  In addition to editing the text, he also wrote the introduction and another half dozen articles in the text.
As Rokeach states in his introduction, this text is an attempt to elaborate and extend previous research, especially in the area of supraindividual values (e.g. organizations).
There are some 18 chapters, but of special significance to this writer is the work on change and stability of values in general and American values in particular.
