Business Continuity

Business Continuity Planning should provide a sense of security for the organization.  The primary focus is on the company as a whole, with significant emphasis on Disaster Recovery Planning as central to the entire Business Continuity Plan.

Decision making during time of disaster, emergency, or unexpected business disruption, should be minimized.  A clear flow of success needs to be in place on the chance that key decision-makers are unavailable for an unspecified amount of time.

Priorities must be established.  Essential operations should be prioritized.  Methods of communicating with key personnel should be regimented and known by everyone.  Immediate pathways around individuals unavailable should be clear and explicit.

Business Continuity Planning treats the entire organization as a system with the electronic and communications systems at the core.  Alternatives must be in place, priorities in alignment.  It is simple to enumerate the issues that must be considered.  However, each organization is different and each will focus on different aspects with different emphasis.  CedarCreek VRC provides templates and these can be customized to individual organizational needs.

The most important aspect is to move forward and not delay.  The process does not have to be expensive or drawn out.  Templates and experience streamline the process.  If you have comments or questions, please click on the " Send us a Note " icon below and we will respond to your questions quickly.
