The ultimate target of the research and study at the CedarCreek VRC is the application of our work into the real world of the organization. Since 1991, that is what we have done. However, chaos theory does not mean the same to all authors, many of whom see this as an interesting metaphor for describing an organization in confusion. Chaos is not confusion. In fact, it may be the highest level of "order."
A few authors relate chaos theory including issues of complexity, self-organization, and emergence to organizational life. That is the basis for their inclusion into this area of our resource database.
