Reinventing Darwin
The Great Debate at the High Table of Evolutionary Theory
by Niles Eldredge (1995), John Wiley & Sons, New York
hardcover, 244 pages

|
Eldredge, an evolutionary
theorist, provides a highly readable text that was one of the first that rationally
suggested modifications to conventional Darwinian evolutionary theory. His approach is
one of seeking the significance of "punctuated equilibria." While he does
get into complex systems (a little) at the end of his book, this text is a great lead-in
to the works of Goodwin and Kauffman. |
